The group approved the previous minutes and agreed that the main aim of our Terms of Reference were to bring local people together to share skills and bring ideas to the delivery and development of the CP feasibility study. Discussed Karen’s attendance of the Hayles TRA meetings – the January meeting was well attended, with many people asking questions about the site and a productive debate. It was emphasised that CP is a feasibility study that requires input from residents and stakeholders. It was agreed that finance and spend would be reported monthly by the Treasurer. Steering Group profiles and roles/skills discussed, which will be integral to the website (set to launch end of January). Project updates reported by Karen and Gareth. A topographical survey was completed on both sites in December (no utilities apart from outside light and a single water supply on CP). Suggestion to use garage doors on Fives Court as a ‘billboard’ for the project discussed. Awaiting feedback from the council on possibility of freeing up four garages on Fives Court? Heritage/book project and Neckinger ‘lost river’ on Brook Drive discussed, with suggestion to link a consultation/community event in the spring. Gareth reported on design development ideas for both sites; key to both is ‘designing out’ fly tipping, and increasing green space.
